Quality Assurance/PDI Representative:

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance/PDI Representative to join our Coughlan Homes team. Starting at $55,000 a year, the Quality Assurance/PDI Representative will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality of workmanship in homes to be delivered leading up to the Pre-Delivery Inspection, be responsible for performing PDIs on behalf of Coughlan Homes with homeowners or homeowner’s representatives, as well as assist in correction of deficiencies and preparation of homes to be delivered to purchasers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Before PDI, the Quality Assurance/PDI Representative will inspect homes for the level of quality and record all deficiencies to be corrected prior to the PDI and delivery of the home. The Quality Assurance/PDI representative will create a preliminary report based on this inspection to be provided to the finishing superintendent for the purpose of correcting all deficiencies prior to the Pre-Delivery Inspection. The Quality Assurance/PDI Representative will also contribute to and assist with work required to correct home deficiencies leading up to PDI as needed and as their work schedule allows. During PDI, the Quality Assurance/PDI Representative will act on behalf of Coughlan Homes and perform the Pre-Delivery Inspection with the homeowner or the homeowner’s representative. They will guide the homeowner through a comprehensive inspection of the home, identifying all deficiencies that will be corrected, and demonstrating how to operate the home’s ventilation, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems. All items that are damaged, incomplete, or missing will be recorded in a PDI report using Builderlynx construction software and generated for signatures upon completion of the PDI. The Quality Assurance/PDI Representative will also provide the homeowner with a PDI Customer Survey to be completed by the purchaser and submit these surveys to head office.
- Strong social and inter-personal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in the low-rise residential construction industry
- Working knowledge with Tarion Home Warranty coverage and Tarion Performance Guidelines
- Must be well-presented while performing PDIs
- Able to complete general home repairs such as drywall repairs and caulking
- Must have adequate computer skills and be comfortable with computer software
- Previous experience with Builderlynx software an asset
- Previous experience as a construction handyman or service person an asset
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to work Mon-Fri from 7:30am-5:00pm.

Customer Service Representative:
Large reputable GTA Builder seeking a candidate for a full time on-site position to deal directly with customers and sub trades on a daily basis. The Customer Service Rep will operate from a site trailer in the north east end of Toronto. As a member of the customer care team, you will manage all customer service inquiries and schedule appropriate service work as required. Responsibilities will include and not limited to: conducting Pre-Delivery Orientations with customers for a new home; scheduling of all trades and service appointments for all after-sales service work; maintain and satisfy warranty deadlines; manage all incoming customer calls and correspondence; and follow-up with customers as required. This position requires an individual who has strong organizational and people skills with knowledge of the construction industry and the Tarion Warranty guidelines and policies.
